Dr. Leonard

Dr. Clint Leonard

Dr. Leonard has been providing great health care for women in the East Valley since he founded Morning Star OB/ GYN in 2005. Originally from Kansas, he received his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, in 2001. He completed residency with the Phoenix Integrated Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Maricopa Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital in June, 2005. Formed in the Catholic tradition, Dr. Leonard embraces a holistic view of the human person and takes a life-affirming approach to sexuality and fertility. He works closely with the Phoenix NFP Center and teachers and users of the symptothermal methods of Natural Family Planning (NFP). He teaches the Billings Ovulation Method of NFP in English and Spanish. He also completed training as a FertilityCare Medical Consultant with Dr. Thomas Hilgers and uses principles of NaProTechnology in his practice. During his studies, Dr. Leonard lived and worked for a time in Lima, Peru, and continues to enjoy serving the Spanish-speaking community. Dr. Leonard is also a member of the Catholic Physicians Guild of Phoenix. He, his wife Kathryn and five children attend St. Mary Magdalene parish in Gilbert.
Dr. Kreller

Dr. Erica Kreller

Dr. Kreller received her medical degree from the University of Southern California. After completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, she served as a staff Obstetrician and Gynecologist at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan for three years. While in the Navy, she felt God’s call to practice medicine in a way that fully cooperates with His plan. She completed her military service and then graduated from a yearlong fellowship in Medical and Surgical NaProTechnology at the Saint Paul VI Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. She has special interest in the treatment of women with pelvic pain and infertility, and also performs tubal reversals. Dr. Kreller is married, and has six children. She and her husband Bryan work to get them all to heaven and revel in the chaos and joy along the way.

Dr. Christy Sunny

Dr. Sunny practices Family Medicine with Obstetrics and has joined Morning Star OB/GYN in caring for women. Dr. Sunny received her medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine in Roseburg, Oregon. She is passionate about providing obstetric care and empowering patients to take control of their health with lifestyle and preventative medicine. Dr. Sunny was born in India but grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. She is fluent in English and Malayalam and conversational in Hindi. Dr. Sunny is married and has a newborn son who are settling in to Arizona. Her interests include trying new cuisines, cooking, DIY projects, traveling, gardening, classical Indian dance- Bharatanatyam and hiking.
Adamo

Sarah Adamo, PA-C

Sarah was born and raised in Arizona. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville, where she was formed in her faith as well as in the sciences. Sarah was originally trained in the Sympto-Thermal method of Natural Family Planning and taught NFP for two years before attending PA school. She earned her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University and practiced family medicine before joining Morning Star. Shortly after joining Morning Star, she became a FertilityCare Practitioner in the Creighton Model FertilityCare System and also became a certified NaPro Technology Physician Assistant.
McDonald

Mariel McDonald, PA-C

Mariel was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she spent the first two decades of her life as a competitive figure skater. It was her figure skating background that influenced her decision to pursue education in sports medicine. She began her post-secondary education with a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Boston University. Upon graduating from BU, she migrated to the southwest for the master’s program in Athletic Training at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. After clinically practicing as an athletic trainer and dabbling in research for a few years, she then pursued a degree in Physician Assistant studies at A.T. Still University. Her PA career began in family medicine where she evaluated and treated a variety of patient populations. Since 2015, she felt called to be a greater advocate for women’s health in obstetrics and gynecology. She has completed her training in the Sympto-Thermal Method of Natural Family Planning which she teaches in the office. Mariel and her husband, Ben, are passionate about contributing to the pro-life ministry. They are currently parents to five children who are teaching them to grow in patience and peace!
